
Tranashea Hyman is an American visual artist whose multi-disciplinary practice navigates her life experience and the world around her. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, where she now primarily lives and works, Hyman's artistic explorations are informed by her unique trans-Atlantic experience having split her adult life between England and the United States.
She earned her MFA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in London, England, a pivotal experience that solidified her conceptual framework and material approaches. Since then, Hyman has established a dynamic presence in the art world.
Her work has been featured in significant exhibitions across London, including shows at Both Gallery and Lethaby Gallery, demonstrating her engagement with both emerging and established art spaces.
Hyman's works across sculpture, collage, video, and text and has shown her art publication at Tate Modern’s Offprint Publication Fair. Her work has garnered international attention and is held in private collections in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
